Post Partum now Available

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

I just took the CAPPA Post Partum training, and am so excited to offer this along with my Birthing services.    I am happy to offer a whole package, attending your birth and afterwards helping you as you adjust to baby at home.

At this time my services are:  private prenatal birth preparation visits; continuous assistance during labor and birth; breast feeding help both after birth and into the post partum period; placenta encapsulation; post partum assistance; a birth story; Reiki treatments.

I look forward to hearing from you about your birth requirements.

SNOW :)

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

We finally got our snow in Vancouver – thank heavens I have no girls due.  I love everything about snow – except driving in it.  My part of town didn’t get the huge dump like everyone else, which is fine with me.

I am excited to be taking the Doula Post Partum course this weekend, and offering this service to clients.  I am venturing into this work, and am looking forward to taking care of mamas and their baby and/or family.  Maybe on my down time I will get started on my next published project!!  🙂

Enjoy this weather, it will soon be hot and sunny again, but till then let’s admire the beauty in this season.

Who picks Who ?

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

I believe that the baby (in spirit) ‘chooses their parents’ – not the old saying “you can pick your friends not your parents” – so to all you mums out there, this baby inside you is listening to everything, and feeling every thought; and waiting anxiously to meet you. He/She picked you to be it’s perfect mum, smile! you are blessed

my year starts with a birth

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

I had 74 births in 2011!  I say WOW to be so blessed – thank you to all of my clients, for allowing me to journey with you at your baby’s birth.  I had my last baby on Dec 31 at 8:30 a.m. and my first birth of the year Jan 2 at 10:12 a.m.

I would love to have twins this year – I have had lots of ‘twin’ clients but not the birth.  I look forward to being at your birth – even if you aren’t having twins!!   🙂
