May 12 I saw a chubby cheeked little boy being put to a mum’s chest.  It was a long haul waiting for the process of labor to bring her to this moment. But he was so adorable.

Then I was called to attend another birth right away on May 13. The set of circumstances were very different for labor (as is each one)  and this was another long haul.  I watched a woman push longer than most doctors would allow,  BUT she did deliver vaginally.

My day away from home was long, but I can’t get over how much I love the process of labor, the joy of watching new mums and dads meet their new baby, and my self satisfaction of the miracle of birth.
